Holding Grudges
Rope around the neck,
Tightening and choke.
Severe pain and deep scars,
Carrying pain so far.
Neglecting the cause,
Bypassing the clause,
Avoiding the moss,
and deepening the ross.
A look at the reason,
A pause at the vision,
Being still at the season.
Accepting the scene,
Adapting the mean,
Evolving the reign.
Frightened away from the presence,
runs away the grudge and loses its essence.
Turn up your neck,
Pull away the rope,
Freedom from choke,
and alive you woke.
Now breathe in the air that's finally yours.
Let silence settle where chaos once roared.
Step from the shadows, no longer restrained,
A soul once shackled, now gently reclaimed.
No longer bound by the weight of regret,
You dance with the light, your past a silhouette.
The rope now a memory, frayed and thin,
Proof you were broken — and chose to begin.
