A picture of a son and dad spending time together before entering the operation theatre.

There’s a lot going on in this picture. The father looks like an office-going person who works 9-5. He had to take his child to the hospital while the mother is praying for him at home, hoping the operation goes well.

This picture looks calm, but there’s a lot of chaos in the father's mind while the innocent child stands there with his father, looking outside the window, not even knowing what’s happening to him or why he is being operated on. What might be going through his mind?

Child’s perspective:Once I get out of this unknown place, I’ll go home, play with my toys, eat the tasty food mom made, and watch cartoons.

Father’s perspective:I took a leave—will my salary get deducted? It’s already less. Please, let my son get well soon!He is my only child—nothing should happen to him. There are so many other pending payments to make. Please, let the hospital bill be manageable.

None of them, including the doctor, had any assurance that the operation would be successful.

And then the doctor called both of them because they had to begin the operation…
